Screen print workshop with Abbey Rich

We look forward to having the effervescent Abbey Rich in residence with us during October.  
Abbey is a Melbourne based artist who is participating in our residency program as well as running a fantastic screenprinting workshop.

When: Saturday the 19th Oct 2019

Where: The Art Vault, 43 Deakin Ave, Mildura VIC

Time: 10am – 3pm (coffee, tea and snacks provided but byo lunch)

Cost: $120pp (no experience necessary)

Join the wonderful artist Abbey Rich in her screen print workshop where you will learn the practice of screen printing and also lino stamping. Abbey will help you turn your design ideas into funky fabric prints in this fun workshop.

Throughout the day you will spend time seeking creative inspiration, sketching ideas, cutting stencils and printing as well as talking about how to create a sustainable arts practice.

Tote bags will be provided to each participant, but please feel free to bring along a t-shirt, a tea towel or even a big scrap of fabric you’d like to spruce up too!

So you’ll go home with new skills and a new bag printed by you!

What to Bring :

  • Apron or old clothes you don’t mind getting inky
  • If you have any books you want to draw from or think might provide inspiration for you or anyone else in the class (i will bring a bunch of my favourite art books to look at)
  • Some snacks and coffee will be provided but BYO lunch

(**Abbey requests that if you come to class with a coffee please do not bring it in a disposable cup! Use a reusable cup as we focus on sustainability.)
