Born: 13th August 1959
Other name: Maureen Turner Nampijinpa
Region: Yuelamu (Mt. Allan), Alice Springs, NT.

"Born at Mt. Barkley, Northern Territory, Maureen Turner commenced painting in 1988, first for Yuelamu Artists. She then started to sell her paintings through the Centre for Aboriginal Artists and other galleries in Alice Springs. In 1990, she travelled to Vanuatu for the Art Dock Show, an international art show. In 1994, she began working with Desert Art Distributors. She encouraged her two daughters, Jillian Nungarrayi Turner and Gwenda Nungurrayi Turner, to paint as well."
