Bio

Born: c 1956
Region: Mt Allen cattle station near Yuendumu, NT
Language group: Anmatyerre/Warlpiri

Jean Hudson Namijinpa was brought up by her family in the traditional Law. She inherited Warlu (Fire) Dreamings from her father, Ngapa (Water) from her grandfather and Kanmarra (Bush Onion) from her mother. At first she produced art using very traditional iconology, then her paintings took on a more impressionistic look. She took part in many group exhibitions and had some solo exhibitions as well.
