Elizabeth commenced painting in 1978 and was tutored by Melbourne artist Lance McNeill for seven years on a part time basis. After this period she has continually attended workshops with noted artist in Melbourne & Adelaide using and experimenting in various mediums but notably watercolour and pencil.
 
1979 saw her commence her own business producing and teaching slip cast ceramics. Commissions received by the Mildura Shire President during that are as listed.

Local scene featuring a ’blockie’ working near water wheel and channel produced as the Presidents personal Christmas card.
Designed and produced a ceramic wall plaque featuring one of the three pumping stations responsible for watering the fruit blocks of the Sunraysia area.
The first of these plaques was presented to the then Governor, Sir Ninian Stephen whilst on an official visit to the Mildura District, another plaque was presented to the Mayor of Brockville our Sister City.
 
Elizabeth attended the Glenmaggie Summer Painting School for a period of five years. This school, held for a week over the summer holiday period was conducted by Colin Johnson, Head Burwood College of Art and Charles McCubbin noted Australian naturalist and artist, both artists being past Presidents fo Australian Guild of Realist Artist of which Elizabeth was a member for many years.
 
In 1989 her watercolour was selected for a joint exhibition in London between Australian Guild of Realist Artists and Royal British Art Society held at Mall Galleries, London. Purchased through the exhibition, this is now in a private collection in Salisbury, England.
In 1992 Elizabeth travelled to Italy, France and Austria on a workshop conducted by international watercolourist Robert Wade.
This strengthened her belief in watercolour as her favoured medium.
 
During 1992 she was commissioned by Mildura Base Hospital to paint a watercolour of the original Mildura Cottage Hospital which became the dust jacket for a book on the history of the hospital.
 
Elizabeth has held several solo exhibition at Mulgrave Gallery in Melbourne,
two solo exhibitions at Mildura Regional Gallery,
solo at Don Turvey Foto Fella, proceeds to Lions Club.
 
She has participated in many joint exhibitions and group shows in venues such as Victorian Artists Society, Age Gallery Melbourne and several regional galleries.
1996 to 1998, she was elected President, Mildura Branch, Embroiderers Guild of Victoria.
 
2007 completed Bachelor of Visual Arts, La Trobe University, Mildura Campus.
2008 Studio Artist, The Art Vault, Mildura.
Awards include winner Sunraysia Daily Outdoor Art Exhibition.
Most outstanding watercolour/gouache landscape, Lower Murray Water.
Special award – Pencil, Royal Melbourne Show.
First Wentworth PA&I Society Show over 5 years.
Many Highly Commended Awards.
