Artist Statement

Drawing is my passion. No other medium or process of working, caters for my creative urges like drawing does. The intimate act of making a line that intersects, divides, highlights, suggests, alludes to, defines, and communicates. Passing across or travelling though an imaginative composition of form and structure. It's hard to believe a small stick of graphite can be used to convey our identity and romantic visionary conceptions. Our personality permeates through our work and provides a narrow inlet into our inventive and fertile minds. Granting others access to our visual and representational way of thinking and feeling. There is no greater feeling than plucking an image from your imagination and witnessing it disentangle, expand, evolve, mature, ripen and flourish on paper. Taking on a life of its own. Using the hand as an extension of our mind.
